Responsibilities

• Define and pursue research directions at the intersection of AI and formal methods, such as autoformalizing intent, certificate-producing code generation, or runtime verification.
• Take research ideas end-to-end, from initial prototype to systems running against real customer workloads.
• Partner with applied AI, agent, and platform engineers to translate research advances into production capabilities.
• Work with design partners and security leaders to ground research in real-world security workflows.
• Build evaluation harnesses and benchmarks for policy-compliant and verified-correct systems.
• Iterate quickly based on results and share findings internally and at academic venues.

Requirements

• Recently completed PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field (or defense expected soon).
• Research experience in formal methods, program analysis, programming languages, agentic AI for code reasoning, or runtime verification.
• Strong publication record in top conferences/journals or comparable open-source contributions.
• Strong engineering ability and fluency in a major programming language.
• Ability to mature prototypes into production-ready systems.
• Independent, self-starting mindset with comfort in ambiguous settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability detection or remediation.
• Experience with secure-by-construction systems.
