CoGeneration Power Plant Operator

Responsibilities

• Support the unloading of coal and lime material by truck and rail and the loading of ash trucks
• Enter and verify truck weights and data into computerized ADM Weigh Systems
• Operate motorized heavy equipment, including rail locomotives, skid steer loaders, and boom lifts
• Collect in-process samples, conduct laboratory testing, and analyze results
• Follow Equipment Specific Lockout Procedures (ESLP) to ensure safe Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)
• Execute daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain plant cleanliness
• Conduct routine maintenance checks, troubleshooting, and basic preventive maintenance on process equipment
• Adhere to all safety regulations and partner with leadership to foster a culture of safety

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Experience in an industrial or mechanical manufacturing environment
• Experience operating heavy machinery and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Proficiency in Windows OS and related software
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in English
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and traverse long distances in various weather conditions
