Cockpit Design Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage a design team of 5-10 engineers responsible for aerostructure and system installation design for the A220 cockpit
• Ensure cockpit designs meet technical requirements, customer specifications, and manufacturing needs
• Coordinate team activities and ensure deliverables meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives
• Monitor team performance using key indicators such as OTD, OQD, and EVM
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers to support their professional development
• Interface technically with customers and suppliers to resolve non-conformities and assembly line issues
• Participate in change management analysis and implementation alongside production and supply chain teams
• Report on technical progress, risks, and potential issues to program leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerostructure design
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes for primary and secondary structures and system installations
• Understanding of airworthiness requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
• Proficiency in CATIA and ENOVIA
• Strong communication skills in both English and French (bilingual)
• Experience in project management and change management processes
