About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of foods including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, vegetarian options, and snacks.
  • Perform mise en place activities, including washing and disinfecting fruits and vegetables.
  • Control and request supplies efficiently to minimize waste and shrinkage.
  • Apply storage procedures, inventory rotation (FIFO), and temperature controls.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and quality standards such as Distintivo H and Punto Limpio.
  • Set up service lines and provide customer service at points of sale and special events.
  • Support catering services, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Collaborate in the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, utensils, and food and beverage facilities.
  • Participate in inventories, logbook maintenance, and documentation required for audits.

Requirements

  • Technical degree in Gastronomy, Food and Beverage, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in a kitchen.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and food security standards (HACCP, Distintivo H, or similar).
  • Experience operating industrial kitchen equipment such as griddles, ovens, fryers, and coffee makers.
  • Proficiency in temperature control and proper food preservation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in industrial dining halls, cafeterias, restaurants, or hotels.
