About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs and write technical specifications
- Develop and maintain applications in COBOL
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Correct anomalies and optimize batch processing
- Participate in production deployments
- Provide evolutionary maintenance and support to business teams
- Write technical documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science (Bac+3 to Bac+5)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in COBOL development
- Strong knowledge of Mainframe environments
- Proficiency in SQL (DB2 preferred)
- Technical stack: COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, CICS, MVS/zOS
- Autonomy, rigor, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Banking, Insurance, or Retail sectors
- Experience in mainframe migration or modernization
- Knowledge of Pacbase or Easytrieve
