Coatings Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting of production and process issues related to electroplated coatings
• Resolve technical, quality, and performance concerns for customers
• Drive quality improvements through data analysis and problem-solving tools
• Assist with process optimization and capacity/efficiency improvements
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Support documentation, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of materials, coatings, or surface engineering
• Strong data-driven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electroplating processes
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma continuous improvement tools
