About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the women's component of the rugby program, including session planning and game day preparation
- Deliver team, unit, and skill-specific training sessions in alignment with coaching philosophies
- Manage game day execution, including video review, thematic tagging, and presentation creation
- Recruit, evaluate, and manage club athletes while supporting their academic progress and well-being
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all players and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all governing bodies, including USA Rugby and relevant collegiate conferences
- Maintain positive communication with alumni, parents, faculty, and other university constituents
- Support club fundraising efforts and oversee alumni communications
Requirements
- Four (4) years of rugby playing, coaching, or operations experience
- USA Rugby Level 1 Coach (L200) certification
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Valid driver's license in accordance with University policy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Four (4) years of rugby experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level
- USA Rugby Level 2 Coach (L300) certification
- CSCS or equivalent Strength and Conditioning qualification
