About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group career advising and coaching to students regarding job searches, resumes, and professional development
- Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Science Co-op Program in accordance with national accreditation standards
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with local, national, and international employers and industry partners
- Monitor co-op work placements through site visits and evaluate student performance and workplace environments
- Design and facilitate career readiness curriculum, including workshops, orientations, and recruiting events
- Oversee the student admission process, including application review and interview coordination
- Manage program administration, including data collection, statistical reporting, and strategic project implementation
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of four years of related experience in career coaching, co-op coordination, or a similar field
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and database management
- Valid BC Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree or an undergraduate degree in a Science-related discipline
- Knowledge of co-operative education, human resource management, or work-integrated learning
- Experience in conflict resolution, project management, and event planning
- Demonstrated expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
