Co-op Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group career advising and coaching to students regarding job searches, resumes, and professional development
• Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Science Co-op Program in accordance with national accreditation standards
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with local, national, and international employers and industry partners
• Monitor co-op work placements through site visits and evaluate student performance and workplace environments
• Design and facilitate career readiness curriculum, including workshops, orientations, and recruiting events
• Oversee the student admission process, including application review and interview coordination
• Manage program administration, including data collection, statistical reporting, and strategic project implementation

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of four years of related experience in career coaching, co-op coordination, or a similar field
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and database management
• Valid BC Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree or an undergraduate degree in a Science-related discipline
• Knowledge of co-operative education, human resource management, or work-integrated learning
• Experience in conflict resolution, project management, and event planning
• Demonstrated expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion practices
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
