About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as second-in-command to the Store Manager, providing leadership on the sales floor to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, hire, and develop high-quality management and associates to support succession planning.
- Coach and provide ongoing feedback to the team regarding product knowledge, selling skills, and visual merchandising.
- Implement visual merchandising standards, promotions, and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Drive store profitability by meeting goals in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
- Execute strategies to maximize sales and control expenses while ensuring compliance with all company policies.
- Manage loss prevention measures to protect company assets.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of managerial experience with a proven track record of driving sales and profit results.
- Experience in training and developing teams of individuals.
- Proficiency in personal computer use and detailed report analysis.
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
