About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as second-in-command to the Store Manager, assisting with the overall leadership and daily operations of the store.
- Recruit, hire, and develop high-quality associates and management to support succession planning.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback regarding product knowledge, selling skills, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure an excellent customer experience through regular assessment and team follow-up.
- Implement visual merchandising standards, promotions, and maintain sales floor and stockroom organization.
- Drive store profitability by meeting goals in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
- Execute strategies to maximize sales while controlling expenses and maintaining loss prevention measures.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of managerial experience with a proven track record of driving sales and profit.
- Experience in training and developing teams of individuals.
- Proficiency in personal computer use and detailed report analysis.
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
