CNC Setup/Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups on 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills or CNC lathes to machine parts that meet customer specifications
• Verify machine readiness and safely operate vertical and horizontal machining centers following setup completion
• Perform inspection per Process Routing Documents and accurately document results to ensure part conformance
• Troubleshoot machining or quality issues in coordination with supervisors and quality personnel
• Complete production reports and associated documentation
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Perform manual deburring operations as needed
• Follow all applicable Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and safety standards

Requirements

• 2-5 years CNC experience with 1+ years of appropriate setup experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience reading blueprints
• Proficiency using calipers, height gauges, and micrometers
• Proficiency with machining operations like drilling, milling, and tapping
• Familiarity with vertical and horizontal machines
• Inspection competence
• Basic mathematical skills
• Mechanical and technical capacity
