CNC Set-Up Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform full CNC machine set-ups, including tooling changes, offsets, and fixture alignment
• Operate CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis machines for production runs
• Conduct first piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine machining or dimensional issues
• Document production output, downtime, and inspection results accurately
• Recommend process enhancements to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability
• Provide guidance to Level 1 and 2 CNC operators
• Support preventative maintenance programs by identifying wear or recurring issues

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar CNC set-up role
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Proficiency with precision measuring and gaging instruments
• Intermediate mathematical skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
