CNC Programmer/Machinist

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (lathe or mill) to produce required parts, tools, jigs, and fixtures
• Maintain all machine shop programs for consistency, accuracy, and efficiency
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and tooling instructions for specific dimensions and tolerances
• Set up CNC machines including selecting jaws, setting work offsets, changing tools, and adjusting tool offsets
• Inspect parts to precise tolerances using inspection tools to ensure high-quality output
• Troubleshoot, perform minor repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintain working knowledge of G and M codes and operate multiple machines simultaneously

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of at least two semesters of Machine Technology, CNC Machining/Programming courses, or equivalent
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam/CAD software
• 5+ years of experience programming and operating mill/lathe CNC machines
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and making complex shop calculations
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and experience with precision inspection tools
• Ability to hold tolerances to plus or minus .0005

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 4th-axis, live tooling, and multi-axis machines
• Experience with pneumatic and hand tools
