Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for mills, lathes, and other equipment to fabricate reactor components
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual and CNC machining equipment while working with nuclear-grade materials
• Select, design, and develop appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies
• Perform first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to verify part conformance
• Strictly follow NQA-1 controlled work packages, travelers, and manufacturing procedures
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to resolve technical issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 4–6 years of combined experience in CNC programming and precision machining in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in multi-axis CNC programming and hands-on operation of CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turns
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T
• Solid understanding of precision metrology, inspection techniques, and tooling selection
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
• Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX
