CNC Programmer

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and optimize CNC programs for robotic plasma, press brake, and bending machines
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to produce accurate machining instructions
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve tooling, nesting, and manufacturing processes
• Perform tooling and material setup activities for CNC machinery
• Conduct programming simulations and verification to minimize errors and maximize efficiency
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to operators and production teams
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity and quality
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a CNC Programmer within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and cutting technologies
• Experience programming Press Brakes, Laser Cutting Machines, and Multi-Axis CNC Equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional manufacturing team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC Punch Machines
• Experience with TRUMPF and/or Voortman machinery
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and material handling
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
