CNC Programmer/Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to machine components to print, including mill, radial drill, and surface grinder
• Perform 2D and 3D programming for CNC and laser from final die designs
• Produce components within specified tolerances as defined by engineering drawings
• Physically inspect completed products for dimensional correctness using computer data
• Maintain and record setup/run times, CNC records, and daily job numbers
• Perform preventive maintenance, including machine lubrication
• Act as a liaison between the Engineering, Tool Room, and CNC departments
• Report any system, machinery, or tool deficiencies to the supervisor immediately
• Comply with all Quality Assurance, Health and Safety, and company policies

Requirements

• Grade 12 education
• Minimum 5 years of automotive experience or a college diploma/certificate in a CNC course
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D programming
• Ability to read and interpret engineering designs and drawings
• Must own setup tools (e.g., dial indicator, edge finder) or be willing to purchase them
• Strong computer literacy and communication skills
• Ability to wear required safety shoes and comply with PPE standards
• Ability to work the afternoon shift and perform compulsory overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mastercam and Key Creator
