CNC Programmer

Responsibilities

• Create, correct, modify, rewrite and verify existing CNC machining programs
• Define manufacturing operational details including machines, tools, feeds, speeds, and cycle time
• Support and provide assistance to operators for various projects
• Participate in productivity and corrective action teams to optimize manufacturing methods
• Utilize programming software to simulate tools and test parts
• Establish and maintain electronic product data, work instructions, and sketches
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing tooling and plan replacements
• Figure machine offset positions using Edge Finders or mathematical equations
• Interpret and edit FANUC G-code programming
• Analyze job orders, drawings, and blueprints
• Prove programs through 1st piece approval
• Uphold ISO/AS and OSHA standards

Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Mastercam
• Ability to understand and edit FANUC G-code
• Strong math skills including geometric and statistical concepts, algebra, and variance analysis
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Experience using calibrations, CNC machines, and continuity testers/multimeters
• High attention to detail for precision equipment work
• Strong oral and written communication skills
