CNC Programmer II

Responsibilities

• Independently program 3-axis, 4-axis, and full 5-axis simultaneous machining centers
• Develop complete machining strategies including advanced surfacing and multi-sided machining
• Select tooling, optimize speeds and feeds, and design workholding concepts
• Generate detailed setup documentation, tool lists, and conduct collision avoidance verification
• Lead program prove-outs and first article runs
• Optimize processes to reduce cycle times while maintaining high quality standards
• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide DFM feedback to the engineering team
• Partner with machinists during new job launches and assist estimating with time projections

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience, including full 5-axis simultaneous machining
• Advanced proficiency with CAM software
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining
• Experience with multiple control platforms such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
