CNC Programmer II

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs and post G-code for 3D-printed engine parts
• Develop first article programs and optimize them for production
• Write manufacturing plans and develop custom tooling and fixtures
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop new machining processes
• Manually edit G-code paths and settings to optimize production
• Create detailed setup instructions

Requirements

• 4+ years of CNC programming experience
• Proficiency in programming and operating multi-axis machines (2-axis, 3-axis, 5-axis, mill/turn)
• Experience with DMG-MORI machines (NLX, NTX, DMC FD, and DMU series)
• Ability to use CAM software such as Esprit, Mastercam, or similar
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up
• Experience transitioning parts from first article to production
• Experience running lights-out production

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 6+ years of experience
• Experience machining 3D-printed parts
• Experience in a startup, agile development, or fast-paced R&D environment
• Experience working within a flight development program
