CNC Programmer I

Responsibilities

• Create instructions for machine operators and translate them into computer automated manufacturing (CAM) programs
• Review 3D CAD design prints and prepare geometric layouts using proper software
• Determine the sequence of operations and select appropriate tools for cutting specific materials
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications and optimize material yield
• Analyze job orders, perform necessary calculations, and make improvements to setup times
• Monitor programs to ensure they follow engineering specifications and provide feedback for design changes
• Provide training for operators on automated systems
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations to ensure maximum run time per production shift

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience operating CNC equipment
• Previous experience in CNC programming
• Proficiency in Sigma Nest, CAD, and Raydan software
• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings
• Knowledge of electronics and machine tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Business suites (Excel/Word)
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
