CNC Programmer

About the Company

fab2 designs and manufactures the hardware and software needed to make chips. Founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, the team builds everything from deposition and etching tools to lithography and metrology in-house.

Responsibilities

• CAM programming for 5-axis VMC and mill-turn lathe work using Mastercam, Fusion 360, or HSMWorks
• Developing toolpath strategies for stainless and aluminum semiconductor-grade parts
• Implementing probing routines for in-process inspection
• Managing tool libraries, tool-life tracking, and offsets at the Zoller presetter
• Creating pallet-pool lights-out programs for the UMC fleet
• Providing DFM feedback to the design team to optimize cycle times
• Maintaining process documentation for operator turnover

Requirements

• 4+ years of CNC programming experience
• 2+ years of experience on 5-axis machines
• Fluency in Mastercam, Fusion 360, or HSMWorks
• Proficiency with Haas controls (or comparable Fanuc/Siemens)
• Fluency in GD&T and ability to read technical drawings to spec
• Proven track record of reducing part cycle times

Preferred Qualifications

• Trunnion-mount 5-axis programming experience
• Pallet-pool or lights-out experience (Fastems or similar)
• Mill-turn programming on DS-30Y class machines
• Background in semiconductor, aerospace, or medical-device manufacturing
• Mastercam Multi-Axis or HSMWorks Adaptive Clearing certification
