About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC machines for trimming and machining composites, epoxy tooling boards, and alloys
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for efficient production
- Safely handle and process composite materials, epoxy tooling boards, and metal alloys according to specifications
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with technical drawings and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of production, machine settings, and maintenance activities
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and product quality
Requirements
- Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machines, preferably in a composites or advanced materials environment
- Strong competency with CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, or similar)
- Experience machining composites, epoxy tooling boards, and alloys
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25kg
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience using Fanuc operating systems
