CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to manufacture parts according to technical drawings and instructions
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection devices to ensure dimensions meet specifications
• Maintain production quotas by working efficiently and using correct tooling
• Perform tool changes, including inserts and endmills
• Complete all required documentation per part
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep machines clean
• Work collaboratively within a team environment and follow all safety protocols for a safety-sensitive position

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow detailed and complex instructions
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50lbs occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience operating CNC machines
• Previous experience working in a machine shop
• Advanced mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry
• Experience with lathes, mills, and handheld sanders
