CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications to plan machining operations
• Program linear CNC machines by entering instructions, setting zero/reference points, tool registers, offsets, and compensation
• Set up machines by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers
• Load feed mechanisms, verify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts, and adhere to quality standards
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust controls, replace worn tools, and complete preventive maintenance
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs

• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Ability to perform heavy work and lift over 50 lbs with assistance
• Ability to stand 8+ hours per day
• Physical ability to push, pull, bend, twist, carry, reach, and walk frequently
