CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC woodworking machinery to perform a variety of fabrication tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications to understand task requirements
• Translate instructions into computer commands to enable correct machine functions
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines
• Conduct test runs to ensure outputs meet required specifications
• Set machines for full cycles to fabricate large quantities of parts
• Supervise machine execution and make necessary adjustments to optimize results
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Perform daily machinery checks and maintenance to ensure optimum functionality

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a CNC operator
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills
• Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
• Background in the woodworking field
