CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines, including tooling setup and installing soft jaws
• Download programs via computer and make offsets to maintain precise part dimension tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, bore gages, and plug gages
• Operate hoists and automatic band saws to cut parts to required specifications
• Follow all established work instructions and safety practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical skills and basic machine shop practices
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments
• Basic math skills and ability to follow technical instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 2 hours) and lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally
• Availability for 2nd shift and occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade School certification
• Previous experience working in a machine shop environment
