CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for production runs according to customer and work instruction specifications
• Ensure proper tooling and computer programs are installed for all jobs
• Adjust machine feed and speed, change tooling, or adjust machine controls as necessary
• Monitor CNC machines during production runs and adjust programs to maintain quality
• Calculate machine speed, feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts
• Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to verify finished work pieces meet specifications
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and the work area
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of proper PPE

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical skills
• Strong shop math skills
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers
• Ability to prioritize work effectively and communicate well with team members
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. on occasion and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work the 3rd shift and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience
• Trade school graduate
