CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes and milling machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation
• Perform autonomous maintenance such as tool and fluid changes
• Visually and manually inspect parts using measuring tools and gauges to ensure quality standards
• Load and assess tool quality and assist in troubleshooting machine issues
• Follow 5S policies to maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and HSE critical requirements
• Support other departments including assembly and painting as needed
• Work the second shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm to 2:30am

Requirements

• 4+ years of CNC Operator or similar experience
• Experience operating overhead and jib cranes
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software in CNC operations
• Familiarity with metrology tools (e.g., hardness and stress testing)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP Enterprise Software
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift/lower items up to 24lbs and push/pull up to 42lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous CNC programming experience
• Knowledge of Hitachi Rail products
