About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various CNC and manual machines to manufacture jet engine components
- Machine and test parts according to engineering and customer specifications
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure parts meet blueprint and manufacturing standards
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and tool marks from machined parts
- Maintain accurate documentation and part identification per planning specifications
- Provide input on selecting and adjusting cutting tools to ensure consistency with material types
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized cellular manufacturing work area
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulations
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of machining experience
- Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications
- Strong knowledge of machining and testing-related mathematical concepts
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Ability to push or pull weights of up to 60 lbs
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required
