About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various CNC and manual machines to manufacture jet engine components
- Machine and test parts according to strict engineering and customer specifications
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure parts meet blueprint tolerances and standards
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and tool marks from finished parts
- Maintain accurate documentation and reliable records of all manufacturing activities
- Provide input on selecting and adjusting cutting tools to ensure consistency with material types
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cellular manufacturing work area
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of machining experience
- Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications
- Strong knowledge of machining and testing-related mathematical concepts
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and push/pull weights of up to 60 lbs
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required
