About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various CNC and manual machines within the Turbine Disk & Blade department
- Machine and test parts according to engineering standards, customer specifications, and blueprints
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure parts meet manufacturing standards and are free of burrs or damage
- Maintain accurate documentation and part identification per planning specifications
- Provide input on selecting, installing, and adjusting cutting tools to ensure consistency with material types
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Clean and organize the cellular manufacturing work area and ensure continuous material flow
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulations
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning, and manufacturing specifications
- Mathematical proficiency related to machining and testing concepts
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Ability to push or pull weights of up to 60 lbs
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required
