About the role
Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC equipment to cut die blocks and die sections
- Perform boiler plate and tool steel machining
- Execute 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional machining and programming
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment and software
- Collaborate with the CNC coordinator and engineering staff on various projects
Requirements
- Red Seal General Machinist or Mechanical Technician certification (or equivalent combination of technical courses and experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a machining environment
- Basic knowledge of Lemoine programming software
- Experience with Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Tool & Die industry
- Experience with 5-axis machining
- Proficiency with Work NC software
