About the role

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate multi-axis CNC mills (3-axis, 4th-axis, 5-axis) and 2-axis CNC lathes
  • Edit and optimize programs using Haas G-code
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, and GD&T requirements
  • Perform machine setups including cutting soft jaws, changing vices, and performing offsets
  • Use inspection equipment to verify part quality after each operation
  • Select and optimize tooling by adjusting speeds and feeds for efficiency
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and assist with general shop tasks like deburring and saw cutting
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to machine shop troubleshooting and optimization

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Proficiency in Haas controls and G-code
  • Strong knowledge of 3-axis CNC milling or turning
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, and grasping

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Expertise in multi-axis mill and lathe setup and operation
  • Experience with complex surfacing, contours, and aerospace-grade applications
  • Familiarity with various materials including 6061/7075 Aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel
  • Experience mentoring others and leading shop projects
