CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision turbine components according to work instructions and quality standards
• Load materials into machines and ensure safe, efficient setups for assigned loads
• Interpret engineering drawings and CMM readouts to perform complex machining operations
• Adjust machine settings, including tool offsets, speed, and cut paths, to guarantee component conformity
• Examine production output through regular inspections and precision measurement to verify specifications

Requirements

• Recognized Level 3 apprenticeship in Engineering or a related field
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Technical Certificate in Mechanical or Production Engineering
• Proficiency in CNC machining and reading engineering drawings
• Experience with CMM operation and readouts
• Strong skills in precision measurement and gauging
• Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazatrol
