CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision parts with high accuracy
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Measure and visually inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to manufacturing documentation
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
• Document and report production data, including dimensions and deviations from specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in adherence to health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Completed recognized full level 3 apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, or a relevant technical certificate
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in operating machine tools such as lathes, borers, and grinders
• Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required by the production schedule
• Good computer skills for documentation and production reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
