CNC Machinist Programmer I

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs independently or with minimal assistance
• Set up CNC milling machines, including securing cutting tools, fixtures, and raw materials
• Control the CNC machining process and make necessary G-code corrections
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to provide production suggestions
• Perform visual and dimensional in-process inspections of manufactured parts
• Inspect and prepare raw materials for milling operations
• Oversee tool and material consumption and ensure proper waste disposal
• Implement company safety and environmental policies

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or CNC Machinist
• Technical Trade school graduate
• Strong knowledge of G-code
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mastercam
• Basic experience using a vertical milling machine
• College degree
