CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend milling machines or lathes to mill, shape, groove, turn, or profile metal work pieces
• Perform complex series of progressive machining operations on diversified work to close tolerances
• Read blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to ensure customer specifications are met
• Perform machine programming and train lower grade employees

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 1-2 years of experience as a CNC Mills Machinist
• Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications
• Experience working with tight tolerances
• Knowledge of proper cutting tools used in various metals such as Aluminum, Inconel, Titanium, and Phenolic
• Ability to apply critical thinking to complicated manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-axis machine experience
• Lathe operator experience
