CNC Machinist Milling

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components
• Manufacture parts according to technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Perform self-inspection of work to ensure quality standards are met
• Conduct preventative and general maintenance checks on machinery
• Adhere to all company Quality procedures and HSE legislations
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping following the 5S program

Requirements

• Engineering Apprenticeship or similar technical training/qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC machines
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
• Ability to edit and prove out CNC programs
• Proficiency with measuring equipment including micrometers and verniers
• Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and a self-motivated attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within the oil and gas industry or heavy engineering
• Experience with horizontal milling
• Experience working with Fanuc systems
