About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations including turning, boring, facing, and threading
  • Load various materials such as bronze, stainless steel, and plastics up to 7” diameter
  • Perform machine setup by selecting jaws, setting work, changing tools, and adjusting tool offsets
  • Verify proper machine operation, including speeds, feeds, tool wear, and surface finish
  • Review manufacturing drawings and verify product specifications using measuring equipment like calipers, micrometers, and CMM
  • Complete ERP transactions and load CNC programs using a computer
  • Maintain a clean workspace and participate in daily preventative maintenance schedules
  • Multi-task by running multiple machines simultaneously while adhering to all safety policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in industrial manufacturing
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, CMM)
  • Working knowledge of G & M codes
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform mathematical calculations (fractions, decimals, ratios)
