CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Perform precision set-ups of CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision parts
• Manage cutting tool load, measure, and verify all required tooling
• Perform deburring operations and basic finishing
• Inspect finished parts using height gauges, micrometers, and calipers
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines
• Maintain machine shop organization using 5S practices
• Provide feedback for continuous process improvement
• Complete required documentation in the MES system for traceability
• Safely handle equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes

Requirements

• 2+ years of CNC programming and machining experience
• Experience with NX/TC or MasterCam
• Extensive experience operating multi-axis CNC equipment (2-axis, 3-axis, 5-axis, mill/turn)
• Proficiency in GD&T tolerances and technical drawing interpretation
• Ability to manually edit G-code paths and settings
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work extended hours or weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup production development environment
• Experience operating conventional shop equipment such as Lathe or Knee Mill
