CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers to safely and efficiently machine heavy fabrications and cast components
• Set up CNC machining centers, including tooling and programs
• Load, align, and secure heavy components for machining operations
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure precision
• Perform in-process inspections and first-off checks to maintain quality standards
• Monitor and adjust machining processes to ensure consistent quality and delivery
• Conduct daily machine checks and perform basic troubleshooting to support equipment uptime
• Adhere to all safety standards, including lockout/tagout and proper rigging methods for large components
• Maintain clean and compliant work areas following 5S principles

Requirements

• Trade Certification in Mechanical Engineering level 4 (Machining)
• Proven experience in CNC Machining
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Commitment to precision, teamwork, and high-quality manufacturing
