About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centers to safely and efficiently machine heavy fabrications and cast components
- Set up CNC machining centers, including tooling and programs
- Load, align, and secure heavy components for machining operations
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure precision
- Perform in-process inspections and first-off checks to maintain quality standards
- Monitor and adjust machining processes to ensure consistent quality and delivery
- Conduct daily machine checks and perform basic troubleshooting to support equipment uptime
- Adhere to all safety standards, including lockout/tagout and proper rigging methods for large components
- Maintain clean and compliant work areas following 5S principles
Requirements
- Trade Certification in Mechanical Engineering level 4 (Machining)
- Proven experience in CNC Machining
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
- Commitment to precision, teamwork, and high-quality manufacturing
