CNC Machinist III

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC boring mills and lathes to manufacture high-quality complex components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Set up material on work centers while adhering to all safety protocols
• Review CNC program output, part references, and tooling against drawings and router instructions
• Evaluate complex setups for safety and effectiveness to reduce risk of injury or errors
• Perform secure rigging techniques and use overhead cranes for lifting heavy parts
• Inspect all machined features to ensure specified dimensions are met
• Perform minor program edits to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of nonconformance
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of machine fluid levels, filters, and covers
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all PPE policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience in CNC machine operation
• Minimum 5 years of experience machining medium to large complex components
• Proven experience using overhead cranes and lifting equipment
• Proficiency in geometry and trigonometry formulae
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of machining techniques
