CNC Machinist II

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to drawing specifications
• Generate CNC programs with or without software, utilizing correct speeds, feeds, and depths of cut
• Monitor machining processes and calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and vernier calipers
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines
• Inspect completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to quality specifications
• Maintain CNC machines and assist supervisors in improving cycle times and safety protocols
• Participate in Research & Development activities and follow all established HSE programs

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in the operation, setup, and programming of CNC mills and lathes
• Demonstrated knowledge of CNC programming using platforms such as Fanuc and Mazatrol
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Class IV forklifts and overhead cranes
• Ability to coach and train other employees effectively
