CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC 5-Axis grinders and turning lathes to produce high-precision small parts and cutting instruments
• Set up precision CNC machines, create part profiles, and perform cutting or sharpening of instrument teeth
• Read blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure all specifications are achieved
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and replacement of worn parts in coordination with maintenance personnel
• Maintain job routing information, complete required sign-offs, and communicate production status to subsequent shifts
• Maintain a clean and safe work area free of oil and residue

Requirements

• 3 or more years of related experience in CNC machining and machine setup
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Intermediate CNC machine and mechanical skills
• Intermediate math and logic skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Intermediate computer skills and experience with software use
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate from a college or technical school specific to CNC Machine Operation
