CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including DMG Mori, VF2 Haas, Kunzmann, GF, and DMG Mori NLX2500 lathes
• Interpret blueprints, metric drawings, and work orders to execute machining operations accurately
• Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding to optimize performance
• Perform offsets, tool changes, and in-process adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
• Inspect components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges
• Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and product quality
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend improvements to tooling or processes
• Follow standard work procedures, quality guidelines, and 5S practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience, specifically with 3-axis machining
• Experience operating manual machines including mills, lathes, or grinders
• Ability to read and interpret metric drawings and engineering blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to stand or walk for at least 8 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs
