CNC Machinist (Grind)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various CNC and manual machines, with a specific focus on ID and OD grinding for turbine disks
• Machine and test parts according to engineering standards, customer specifications, and blueprint requirements
• Perform inspections and testing to ensure parts meet manufacturing standards and are free of burrs or damaged surfaces
• Maintain accurate documentation and part identification per planning specifications
• Provide input on selecting, installing, and adjusting cutting tools to ensure consistency with material types
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe manufacturing environment

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of machining experience, specifically including grinding experience
• Proven ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints, planning, and manufacturing specifications
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull 60 lbs, and maintain a grip strength of at least 50 lbs
