CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinding machines) to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical directives, and program readouts to determine material and tool requirements.
• Verify product accuracy by inspecting precision parts using measuring instruments to meet defined print specifications.
• Maintain critical dimensions and tolerances during the machining process.
• Perform basic machine setups and align parts according to set methods and reference points.
• Identify and correct issues such as defective tooling, improper coolant flow, or dimensional deviations.
• Meet daily and weekly production targets while complying with all company quality assurance principles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of trade mathematics, including plane geometry and trigonometric functions.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing or Machining.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machining centers or precision grinding.
