CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and/or CNC machine tools to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical directives, and program readouts
• Verify product accuracy by inspecting precision parts against print specifications
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages to maintain tolerances
• Perform machine setups and align parts according to reference points
• Monitor machine operations for defective tooling, improper coolant flow, or dimensional deviations
• Maintain production targets and comply with quality assurance principles
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5-S projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work 2nd shift
• Basic computer skills
• Proficiency in trade mathematics including plane geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing or Machining
• Experience with CNC Multi-axis Machining Centers
• Experience with precision grinding or lathes
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
