CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of conventional and/or CNC machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical directives, and program readouts to determine materials and cutting tools.
• Verify product quality by inspecting precision parts to ensure they meet defined print specifications and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages to maintain critical dimensions.
• Perform machine setups and align parts according to specific reference points and methods.
• Monitor machine operations to recognize defective tooling, improper coolant flow, or dimensional deviations.
• Meet daily and weekly production targets while complying with all company quality assurance principles.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5-S projects to support operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of trade mathematics, including plane geometry and trigonometric functions.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments to achieve tight tolerances.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work 2nd shift and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing or Machining.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Previous experience in precision machining or advanced manufacturing environments.
