CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of conventional and/or CNC machine tools to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, program readouts, and technical directives
• Verify product by inspection of precision parts to meet defined print specifications
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier gages, and indicators to maintain critical tolerances
• Perform machine setups and align parts according to set methods
• Identify and correct issues such as defective tooling, improper coolant flow, or dimensional deviations
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5-S projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to meet daily and weekly production targets
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, fumes, and moving mechanical parts

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing or Machining
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with CNC multi-axis machining, precision grinding, or lathes
